In the first half of 2024, total foreign direct investment inflows in India amounted to $33 billion, and the year-end goal was to hit a $100 billion mark.

Government reforms aimed at liberalizing the economy and improving the investment climate envisage lowering the tax burden on foreign investors and easing restrictions in a number of key sectors including high-tech.
